Qualifications:

Candidates must have at least Bachelor's / College Degree and/or diploma in Aviation from a recognized university is preferable.
Successful completion of courses in cargo/DGR with IATA/ICAO or a similar aviation organization or other recognized airlines.
The job requires Male applicants only
Minimum of 10 years working experience in an airline or in a GHA in an international airport out of which 5 years should be in manual/system Cargo and DGR areas.
Applicants must be 30 to 45 years old
Must have attended a warehousing course with a recognized airline.
Must be holding a valid approval/certificate as a DGR trainer approved /issued by a competent civil aviation authority
Must be computer literate to handle all training material and presentations.
Ability to conduct training in other aviation subjects willbe an added advantage .
Must have good language dskills both oral and written and presentation skills as a trainer.
Ability to read, write , and speak Arabic and other languages willbe an added advantage.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Be responsible for the Cargo training in all aspects of Aviation Cargo Handling in different areas of the airport.
Set-up objectives, design/plan cargo handling courses/modules and DGR courses of different categories.
Conduct the above courses/modules as per the requirement of the line departments
Conduct tests, evaluate the participants in the above courses and forward the results to the line departments
Issue certificates to the successful participants and if permitted, organize re-sits for those who have failed. Maintain records of the tests, results and the issue of certificates.
If requested, conduct training need analysis(TNA) for the line departments and find out what type of training is required for the staff as per their Job Descriptions and real job activities and design new courses.
Prepare all the training material, the presentations and the hand-outs.
Refer to the manuals and other reference material such as memos/bulletins and update the training material in a regular interval.
Attend refresher training and update oneself with the changes and new policies as per IATA AHM, IATA/ICAO DGR and local Aviation Authority.
Keep all one’s approvals up-to-date to conduct the training. (especially the DGR approval)
Keep Oman Air’s network stations up-to-date with DGR licenses requirements.
Liaise with the Sr. Registrar for the training calendar and its changes and training must be conducted as per the plan.
Update oneself with the new technologies involved and use them effectively.
Follow new training methods.
Assist line departments with expert advice and act as a consultant if requested and participate in projects undertaken by the Company.
Provide coaching and mentoring assistance to the participants.
Be a role model in the department especially with the beginners.
Attend to other administration activities in the LD department.
Complete any other tasks requested by the SMLD or AMFE.
Be prepared to face the auditors coming from airlines , IOSA, ISAGO and other authorities from time to time.
Work in line with the ISO 2008 requirements and help maintain the quality and standards in the LD department.
Follow the rules issued by the Company with regard to Security, Safety and Environment
Keep all Cargo Manuals in the LD department updated.
